Celebrating the First Anniversary...!!! :)

I dont remember exactly... but I think it was June 3, 2008 when I and my friend Vinav had a conversation about designing n developing a website. A website, which would portray the beautiful City of Lakes, Udaipur in a completely different manner. A site, which would be different in all aspects from the existing sites. The coolest thing was that we were novice to developing and designing. None of us ever designed or developed a site. Only thing we knew was the names of the softwares which were used by professionals for this task.

It was 6th of June, the first day when we started working for designing the layout and setting the color combination for our site. It had to be unique. After struggling for around 3-4 days the final layout and color scheme was ready. Now, it was the time for the coding part and putting the design into a web page. So, here was the end of the most important part of creating a base for the site.

Next task was to gather the details and information about the city, its history, rulers, lakes, places worth visiting, temples, heritage places and much more... It was the most important task. We started searching the guide books, directories, net etc. for this purpose. And tried our best to gather the most useful and meaningful information about the city. Our aim was to provide the best. We started dedicating 10-12 hrs. a day for finalizing the site.

After putting all the information and content came up the most interesting task of designing a photo gallery. We visited a number of places to click the photographs trying our hand at photography. And, we were a bit successful too. The best photograph clicked was of Nehru Garden from Rajeev Gandhi Park.


After 20 days of our dedication towards this task finally we came up with our site on the World Wide Web as www.amazingudaipur.com, on June 26,2008 . A site, which is different in its content, design and style from other sites in its own way. A site, which was being developed with an idea of being the best one and the most unique. And today is the day, when we are celebrating the first anniversary of our Success. :)


It was a wonderful journey of learning something new that too on our own. We were lucky to have our photographs and news in local dailies. :)

Then after a few days, we decided to bring up the entire education sector of the city to a single platform. With this idea, came up another site of its own kind, www.educationudaipur.com. Providing complete details about almost all the colleges, universities and institutes of the city. Along with their course details and contact numbers. And the most interesting thing was that its a site with more than 125 pages that too developed in mere 15 days. :)

Once again we had a chance to be in news, and this time we were on telivision, Channel 24 of Rajasthan Patrika :)

All efforts bear fruit and same was the case here, after being in news and on television the most important award which we recieved for our work was the prestigious Maharana Fateh Singh Award for Web Designing (It was for the first time that the award was given for Web Designing). The award was being awarded by Shriji Huzur Maharana Arvind Singh Ji Mewar, the royal ruler of Udaipur :) The award ceremony was an international level ceremony held at the Manak Chowk of City Palace. We had a chance to feel the presence of great personalities in the ceremony such as Mr. Shashi Tharur, Mr. Nasiruddin Shah, Mr. Bittu Sehgal and many more... :)

The Conclusion

A few days back I thought of putting a Pause to blogging till my exams get over. But last 2-3 days had been full of surprises for me. Somethings never told, somethings never being understood, somethings unspoken.... were discussed in these days. I was overwhelmed with emotions. Thought of everything right from the bottom of my heart. And what finally came up was a Conclusion. A Conclusion very much important for the life ahead but that too with a fear of a loss. A fear of loss, coz no one can predict the future or no one can assure himself/herself about his/her future. There cant be a solution to this problem, only thing we can do is live in present neither looking back to the past nor looking forward to the days to come. Everything is planned, I say. And whatever happens is for good, I believe.

In these last 2-3 days I felt as if sometimes we are afraid of ourselves, afraid of what others would say, afraid of losing whatever we possess, we have achieved or someone whom we say is 'Ours/Mine'. A fear always resides inside us, that fear is always unspoken. Its only for people to understand. And sometimes our near and dear ones help us overcome this fear.

At last, I would say I don't know actually what I have written. I haven't designed a plot for writing all this. But, everything written here is what I feel is a general experience of our day to day life.

The conclusion was: A fear of losing what we have always resides inside us. And someday you would find a person who would help you overcome all these fears. That person could be YOU or someone else.

"We all are afraid of losing what we have, whether its our life or property or possessions and property. But this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of world are written by the same hand."

I was in a dilemma... which led me to write something... actually I shud say it was a sort of interospection... but what I realised after going through the writing was that, it contained more of the negative points rather than the positive ones... y was it..?? I dont know....

so.. finally I m on my blog... hmm...hmm...
ab aaj aaya to socha ki blog ki thodi saaf-safaai kar deni chahiye... isiliye kuchh purane or "Good For Nothing" wale posts delete kar diye.. :) or khush ho gaya ki chalo Diwali ki safaai ka kaam to pura ho gaya.. :P
actually these days kya h ki... main busy chaling... ab engineering ka to rule hai ki sab files, sheets, sketch books, graphs... etc..etc.. xams se pehle complete ho jane chahiye... xams se pehle matlab ye ki xams se theek pehle... advance mein nahi.. :P to bas aajkal usi me busy hoon.. isiliye kuchh likhne ka bhi time nahin mil pa raha hai.. so mera blog "suna suna laage re..." :)
xams aa gaye hai.. to lag-bhag 1 month ki to gayi... ki blog par kuchh naya likh paunga...
shayad hi ho ki xams ke beech mein koi pyaar mohabbat wali nayi poem likh dalun... :P
agar time mila to might be possible ki apni diary me se koi pehle ki likhi hui poem post kar doon. tab tak k liye to naa to apne blog par kuch naya aane wala hai or naa hi ye bhi possible ho paye ki kisi or blog par jaa kar kuchh padhun or comment karun... to conclusion ye hai ki.. agar main apne blog par kuchh post na karun ya kisi or blog par koi comment na karun to koi bhi ye mat samjhiyega ki maine blogging par "Full Stop" laga diya hai. :)
